Brewtal Box #5

To enjoy the last days of the World Cup summer, this Brewtal Box brings two very refreshing Saison beers. One comes from the place where this type of beer was invented, Belgium; the other is a more modern version made by an Italian brewery.

If hopping is your thing, you'll love the New England IPA from Cloudwater and Fuller's. And to finish, we accompany this selection with the award-winning Grand Cru from St. Feuillien. Cheers!

Brewery De Ranke

The origins of this brewery date back to 1930 with a bottling plant and lemonade factory in Wevelgem (Belgium). After going through some wars and many changes, the brewery is recognized today for its philosophy, according to which they ensure that the quality of the beer can only be achieved with respect for traditional production methods and the use of the best raw materials. , such as hops from the Poperinge region.

Beer: Saison de Dottignies

Style: Season

With a relatively low alcohol level, it is a well-balanced and easy-to-drink Saison, although with a lot of flavor and a fairly high hopping component. Enjoy it alone to calm the heat or with seafood.

Cervecería Birrififico del Ducato

Giovanni and Manuel began producing in 2007, with a project that has been received with great skepticism by those close to them. But this brewery, which was founded in the same city where Giuseppe Verdi was born, only took a few months to demonstrate its quality, since that same year they won the award for the best Pale Ale in Italy and since then they have not stopped receiving medals.

Beer: New Morning

Style: Season

Inspired by Belgian beers, this beer undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, with a rather spicy aroma thanks to the use of flowers, chamomile, coriander, pepper and ginger. Very dry and with the perfect bitterness to quench thirst.

Breweries Cloudwater and Fuller’s

London classic Fuller's teams up with Manchester's Cloudwater, a young brewery whose use of seasonal ingredients has won countless awards. Fuller's has launched a series of collaborations with six breweries, including Cloudwater, each brewing in a different style and with each brewmaster's special touch.

Beer: N. E. IPA

Style: New England IPA

NEIPA is an IPA that has been aggressively hopped, its appearance is cloudy. In this case, wheat and oats have been used, as well as American Chinook and Simcoe hops to make it smooth and juicy. It is a 7% alcohol beer that has been bottle conditioned.

Brasserie Brasserie St-Feuillien

Founded in 1873, it is now in the fifth generation of the same family dedicated to this brewery. Its name comes from an Irish monk (Foillan in English) who came to the region to evangelize, until he died as a martyr in the year 655, turning the region into a pilgrimage site.

Beer: Grand Cru

Style: Extra Blonde

Wine aficionados know that a Grand Cru promises the best quality. This has inspired St. Feullien to launch a line of beers with more body, which offer a richer complex flavor and aromas. Grand Cru is distinguished from other similar beers by the absence of spices during its preparation. Take it with a good plate of cheeses.
