Brewtal Box #046 / DEC 2021 - VIC BREWERY
Winning 5 medals at the London Beer Competition 2021 is just one of the reasons why this brewery has to boast . Jordi and Rafa, its founders, met in 2009 sharing the hospital room where their respective babies were born. To celebrate, they decided to meet one day and share a beer, where they discovered that they both shared a passion for craft beer. In 2012 they gave life to their project Vic Brewery buying the equipment from an old London brewery that they installed in a historic flour mill in Vic (Catalonia) called Moli del Llobet. Its logo is taken from a sign on the wall of the mill that represented the old grinding stones. After eight years making honest beers and winning a few awards, they decide to improve their product and move to more modern facilities in Barcelona. A few weeks ago, “Drink it Loud” was born, a new series of ephemeral beers inspired by songs by different artists and styles that have in common the treatment of themes that we believe should matter to the whole world. They are limited production beers that will be touring the best bars and craft beer shops in Spain and once sold out, like good songs, they will go down in history!
The labels in this DRINK IT LOUD series have been designed by the Ohmybeer Design studio in Barcelona.

Style: Double Dry-Hopped IPA
Inspired by the song: Borders (2016) by M.I.A , this IPA has a double addition of hops with surprising results. Very light on the palate with aromas of lemon, lime and melon, ending with a subtle aftertaste of resinous and herbal sensations.
Hops: Citra, Cashmere, Mosaic Cryo, El Dorado

Style: Hazy IPA
Inspired by the song: “Democracy” (1992) by Leonard Cohen, this beer is enjoyed from the first sip to the last. Very delicate on the nose, with aromas of mandarin, orange and grape.
Hops: Citra, HBC 522, Bavarian Mandarin

Style: New England IPA
NEIPA inspired by the song Shut to the Top (1984) by Style Council. Delicate beer, with aromas and flavors of red fruits, caramel and fresh grass with hints of earth and cedar.
Hops: Simcoe, Mosaic, Bru-1 and Azacca

Inspired by the song: Suggestion (1989) by Fugazi. NEIPA golden in color and consistent foam. Aromas of exotic ripe fruit, nuts and mandarin.
