Brewtal Box #049 / MAR 2022 - ASPICK BREWING

ASPICK BREWING

In 2019 the pre-pandemic world leads three fellow brewers to start the ASPICK project far from their land. With more than ten years of experience in the field that sharpened their senses as professionals, they feel convinced that the ASPICK project is the next step in their evolution as brewers.“Le temps ne respecte pas ce qui se fait sans lui”, reads a sign in a beer temple on the banks of the Seine river in Paris, and after 18 months of waiting for reasons known worldwide, they arrive in Valencia, captivated by its vibe, colors, flavors and perfumes. They begin this beer journey by marking an unorthodox destination on their GPS: "Not being just another craft brewery, being able to offer something different and with a seal of authenticity that speaks of our roots and our journey as brewers." The inertia of a new challenge at the door, and especially, the unconditional love of beer pushes them to embark on this journey they called ASPICK BREWING.

Beer: DANCING DAYS

Style: DDH Foggy IPA

Pilsen, Oat and Wheat Malt, the sacred and creamy malting trilogy of its Hazy IPAs, the perfect balanced food for its blend of English and North American yeasts. The different profiles of the yeasts brought them this ultra modern IPA, with a super light mouthfeel like the West Coast but with the fruity esters and the typical turbidity of the East Coast. The best of both worlds.

Hops: Columbus, Citra & Idaho7

ABV: 6.4%

Beer: PLACEBO EFFECT

Style: Mini New England IPA

New England IPA in Micro Machine format. Sensory similar to those muscular and corpulent "hop bombs", but in a mini format, carrying a very generous 10gr/l divided into two dry hops of Ekuanot and Simcoe hops that provide super intense aromas of peach and red fruits.

Hops: Ekuanot & Simcoe

ABV: 4.6%

Beer: PINK SURFER

Style: Double IPA

A wave of continuity in their commitment to sorority between the old and dear West Coast and the New England Wave. They fermented again with an unorthodox blend of Californian and English yeasts, inoculated both at the same time and left them to discuss among themselves to see which of the two would take charge of the matter. They hopped sparingly in an effort to build a traditional West Coast aroma profile with citrus and herbal hops, Ekuanot and Azzaca.

Hops: Mosaic, Ekuanot & Cryo Azzaca

ABV: 8.6%
