Brewtal Box #055 / SEP 2022 - VIC BREWERY
Winning 5 medals at the London Beer Competition 2021 is just one of the reasons this brewery has to brag about. Jordi and Rafa, its founders, met in 2009 sharing the hospital room where their respective babies were born. To celebrate, they decided to meet one day and share a beer, where they discovered that they both shared a passion for craft beer. In 2012 they gave life to their Vic Brewery project by buying the equipment from an old London brewery that they installed in a historic flour mill in Vic (Catalonia) called Moli del Llobet. Its logo is taken from a sign on the wall of the mill that represented the old grinding stones. After eight years making honest beers and winning a few awards, they decide to improve their product and move to more modern facilities in Barcelona. In December 2021, “Drink it Loud” was born, a new series of ephemeral beers inspired by songs by different artists and styles that have in common the treatment of topics that we believe should matter to the whole world. They are limited production beers that will be touring the best bars and craft beer shops in Spain and once sold out, like good songs, they will go down in history!

Golden color and consistent foam. Aroma of exotic ripe fruit, nuts and mandarin. Easy drink marked by bitter hops, present but tamed. Sparkling Carbon.

Pale copper color with persistent foam. Tropical aromas of pineapple and mango, clearly hopped. Medium to light bodied with a pleasant bitterness and balanced sweetness.

Inspired by the song: “Passat, Present, Futur” (2013) by At Versaris.
Very fresh flavor and very low bitterness, with the presence of citrus hops, aromas and flavors of tropical fruits; pineapple, apricot and passion fruit at the end. Round body with flavors that will explode in your mouth.

Style: New England IPA (NEIPA)
Inspired by the song: “Taxi driver” (1967) by Pau Riba. Its aroma reminds us of pear and peach, with hints of citrus, spices, and fresh hops. On the palate it is soft with a subtle bitterness.
