BEST CYCLE COFFEES (OR CYCLING CAFÉS) IN SPAIN UNITING SPECIALTY COFFEE AND CRAFT BEER

It turns out that specialty coffee and craft beer have a lot in common. From fermentation to roasting and storage to flavor profiles, these two drinks are the product of the experience, passion and hard work of true artisans. This is confirmed by Perfect Daily Grind, one of the best references for editorial content on specialty coffee, who compare both drinks from the point of view of their elaboration and raw material in his article "Craft beer and specialty coffee: more similar than you think".

But since coffee, bicycles and beer also seem to go hand in hand, there is no denying that the three share a common thread and a community. Their connection has never been stronger: Mountain bikers and road cyclists always seem to be looking for a good place to enjoy quality food, craft beer and specialty coffee after a ride or ride.

This common thread is what has inspired the concept of Cafés Ciclista (or Cycling Cafe in English). These bike-inspired cafes and bars have been popping up across the country and around the world.

In close collaboration with Bicing Cafe ** we have made a list of what we believe are the best cycling cafes in Spain. It's not really a ranking, so there are no winners, neither better nor worse. It is a list of cycling cafés where you can enjoy both a dose of caffeine and a pint of craft beer. They are also places where you can enjoy good food, repair your bikes, store them, talk about cycling, and all surrounded by bikes, handlebars, wheels and jerseys. Always the central theme bicycles, specialty coffee and craft beer!

La Fabrica is the third of the successful business endeavors of former professional cyclist Christian Meier and his wife Amber, who also run the coffee shop Espresso Mafia and the famous bike shop The Service Course. Three concepts that revolve around cycling and that attract cyclists from all over the world. While Espresso Mafia focuses almost exclusively on specialty coffee (with its own roastery!), La Fabrica, apart from good coffee, is also known for its 'healthy food'. In a refurbished store-room, with a large table for sharing and a wonderful terrace, La Fabrica serves delicious breakfasts, copious brunches, which include a few options of gluten-free dishes, and of course delicious craft beers from the Girona people of The Hopsters.
