Brewtal Box #053 / JUL 2022 - ORIENT STREET & MOSQUITO BREWING
This first month of summer 2022 we bring you two really new breweries, with well-defined concepts in their products and very cheerful labels.
ORIENT STREET
Orient Street Brewery is a Gipsy brewery from Barcelona that was born in May of this year from the passion of 3 friends for Craft Beer. After 4 years as homebrewers and against the trends, they opted for a project mainly focused on acid beers, their first two references being a Sour and a Berliner Weisse. Their beers seek to have a high degree of "drinkability", inviting an easy and refreshing drink. Their first series is based on fruit, also betting on an acid reference without any adjunct that they present as the base of their beers

Beer: FRUITY SERIES #1
Style: Sour
A sour with hibicus, passion fruit and mango. Wheat-based, reddish in color and with moderate acidity. Due to its combination of flowers and fruits, its creators like to describe it as a trompe l'oeil. Let yourself be surprised... and enjoy it with all your senses!
ABV: 5.2%
IBU: 7

Beer: SOUR BASE
Style: Berliner Weisse
Better known as the champagne of the north in the 16th century, with a lactic character, very refreshing and without arousing passions due to its clear differences, in what is commonly known as beer. That is why Orient Street wants to vindicate a style, which many believe will be extinct in the future... and which, for them, is the basis of their lives!
ABV: 4.0%
IBU: 6

MOSQUITO BREWING
Mosquito Brewing was founded by Nicolás and Hernán, two countrymen from Hurlingham (a town near Buenos Aires, Argentina), and lifelong brewers. In 1999 they made their first beer at home, based on a recipe from a German hippie brought from Patagonia on a paper napkin. 10 years later they meet again in Catalonia and decide to delve into the art and science of making beer. In the open air, in the middle of the Garraf park (Barcelona) and under the watchful eye of thousands of mosquitoes, the first recipes for the beers they now brew came out.

Cloudy and intensely aromatic. Light yellow in color, medium body, moderate bitterness and light drink. It has a curious combination of hops from three continents that create a fresh and citric profile, with tropical and herbal notes. To take flight.
